Authors interested in submitting material to Weber should read the following content and submission guidelines carefully:
Content: Weber publishes personal narrative, biography, fiction, critical commentary, and poetry providing insight into the culture and environment of the contemporary western United States. Our annual winter issue has a film focus in conjunction with the Sundance Film Festival and manuscripts addressing film will be given consideration for this annual issue.
We are particularly interested in the environment, cultural diversity, applied ethics, issues involving gender, economics, education, public policy, and the contribution that individuals have made to the West. Only previously un-published materials should be submitted. Art, interviews, or historical re-prints appearing in Weber are considered by invitation only.
Submission: Essays and fiction should not exceed 5,000 words in length. Documentation should follow current MLA style. Poetry should not exceed 6 poems or 200 lines. To facilitate review, submit two copies of each manuscript with the author's name appearing on the title sheet only. Review time is two to six months. Include e-mail address for immediate acknowledgment.
Simultaneous Submissions: We prefer single submissions, but will read simultaneous submissions. Please note on the MS if your work has also been submitted to another journal.
